Beth-Center Classmates Aim To Make Most Of Their Musical Talents

Forsyth and Coffman are eager to get the most out of their last year of high school. Both were selected for last month's Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District I Band Festival at Trinity High School, which provided an opportunity to view their interests from a different perspective and a chance to connect with other students.

"It is such a good experience," Forsyth said. "Taking instruction from a different conductor who is so talented makes you view music in a whole new way."

Forsyth is no stranger to taking the lead in school work and activities. She was the drum major of the high school marching band for the past two seasons and she is a member of the Make-a-Wish and Leo clubs, Peer Jury, and Student Council. She also is president of the school's National Honor Society, a member of the yearbook and newspaper staff and a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, for which she helps mentor middle school band students. read more
