Guitar Setup and Maintenance
Many people don't understand guitars need more maintenance than just tunning. They just pick up the guitar and just start hammering away on the strings. Most people just let their guitars sit unattended to until they pick it up to play again. Think of it this way, you should tune up and maintain your guitar just like you would a car. If you don't take good care of your guitar and maintain it, you will end up running into serious problems later. I just now had my guitar of 5 years suffer a crack in the neck, the truss rod had warped the neck till it cracked. You just assume that you guitar will always work, but in fact, neglect plays a HUGE role in your guitar's health.
Before we begin, what do you know about guitar maintenance? If its anything like the way I know to maintain my guitar, then you are going to need to learn A LOT. Before hearing about Learn and Master Guitar Setup and Maintenance by Greg Voros, I didn't know where to start. I didn't have a clue what any of the stuff on my guitar was, other than the strings. It turns out that I was even shortening my strings lifespan by putting them on incorrectly! The DVD lessons incorporate acoustic and electric guitar maintenance over the course of 3 DVD's.
So why should you believe in Greg Voros when it comes to guitar? Well, Greg is the real deal master guitar tech at Gruhn Guitar, since 2005. He has worked on literally thousands of guitars in his lifetime, so its safe to say that he knows a thing or two. In the lessons, you get to see how much of an expert he really is, and he describes everything he does in great detail while he works on the guitars. You will find on screen key points, multiple camera angles and the good old high quality video itself.
