Guitar Society Unites Soft Sounds, Nimble Fingers
All eyes were on Ed Edwards as he prepared to play his second tune at the February meeting of the Tulsa Guitar Society.
"I don't know if these old hands will do it or not," Edwards, 66, said to the audience of almost 20.
He didn't make it through the entire song, but the society members seated around Agora Internet Cafe clapped anyway.
It's been a hurdle playing in front of people since Edwards joined the group almost two years ago.
"I come up here and get flustered," he said.
But he's still glad he tried.
"It gives you a chance to play," Edwards said. "You can get up and make a fool of yourself. Why stay at home?"
