Local Music Scene: Crost

Metal, alternative, progressive rock band Crost recently performed at the Crafton Hills College battle of the bands, which they said was an excellent experience.

"I really didn't know what to expect as far as the venue or the crowd, but I never expected to win the competition. I was there to play a show and have fun," said bassist Jeff Trejos. Other band members are Jacob Willis on vocals, Joe Mish on guitar, Pablo Ponce on keys, and Jim Trejos on drums.

Jeff Trejos said the band did not know the other bands competing, but some Crost members communicated with members of the other bands through MySpace.

Jeff said the band would gladly participate at the event if the college held another battle of the bands. The band members are students at Crafton Hills College.

"We heard ourselves on the radio, got printed in the newspaper, and lots of new people got to hear our music," Jeff said. read more
